The Pviral theme is designed to work under WordPress environment. Before we jump to the theme presentation we would like to provide some resources intended for users who are new to wordpress but it may also be useful for the more experienced users.

Install via WordPress

Step 1 – Navigate to Appearance > Themes

Step 2 – Click Install Themes and click the Upload button.

Step 3 – Browse to find the file on your computer and click Install Now

Step 4 – Activate the newly installed theme by going to Appearance > Themes and clicking the Activate button.

Install via FTP

Step 1 – Log into your FTP client to access your host web server

Step 2 – Browse to find the file on your computer and unzip it.

Step 3 – Upload the folder Pviral to wp-content/themes/ folder

Step 4 – Activate the newly installed theme by going to Appearance > Themes and clicking the Activate button.

After installing and activating Pviral, you’ll want to make some custom settings to match your specific need. All theme options are found in Appearance > Customizer.

This section contains common setting options which will be applied to the whole site.

Logo Image

Upload your own logo image by clicking “Change image”. You then can choose an image from the media library, or upload from your computer.

Recommended size: 102px width, 40px height


By enabling prefetching. If user is on homepage, then single page will load faster and if user is on single page, homepage will load faster in modern browsers.

This is a good approach to improve website performance. Below is a good post for you to know it better.

Featured Posts Section

This is a bold post slider with full width background image.

Choose to display or not the featured post section on homepage and also control the number of posts to show in this section.

By enabling it, certain number of posts set as featured will be displayed here.(Check FAQ section to see how to set a featured post)

Pagination Type

There are 3 types of pagination included with Pviral.

  1. Ajax load more button: A Load More button will be displayed at the bottom when scrolling down. Readers have to click it to in order to get next page of posts.
  2. Ajax infinite scroll: Next set of posts will be displayed automatically when a reader scrolling down to the bottom.
  3. Default next/previous: This is the default pagination type of WordPress. You will see at the bottom a numeric pagination box with next/previous action buttons

Sticky Header

By enabling this feature, you’ll have a sticky header. This is not normal sticky header you can see in most of other themes. Instead, the header will fade out when you scroll down, but appear smoothly when you scroll up.

Social Profiles

By enabling this, you can enter your Facebook and Twitter page URLs that will appear on the right of header.

In post editing screen, on the top right you can check to set the post as featured.

When you add or edit a post, under the post content there is a section called “Post Settings” where you can configure the post layout.
